At Harlequin Cavoodles Club, the health, safety, and placement of our puppies in loving homes is our top priority. Because our puppies are living beings and not general merchandise, our refund and returns policy differs from standard retail models. Please read this policy carefully before making a commitment.
1. Non-Refundable Deposits
A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve any puppy. This deposit:
-
Guarantees your chosen puppy will not be offered to another family
-
Offsets the cost of ongoing care, feeding, and veterinary appointments
-
Is applied toward the final purchase price
If you decide not to proceed with the purchase after placing a deposit, the deposit is forfeited.
2. Final Sale Policy
All puppy sales are considered final once the puppy is picked up or delivered to you. We do not accept returns or offer refunds for the following reasons:
-
Change of mind or buyer’s remorse
-
Allergies or unexpected household conflicts
-
Inability to care for or keep the puppy
-
Failure to secure landlord, family, or community approval
-
Unwillingness or inability to train or manage the puppy
We strongly encourage you to be fully prepared for the commitment of pet ownership before placing a deposit or purchasing a puppy.
3. Health Guarantee and Exceptions
We provide a 72-hour health guarantee starting from the time your puppy leaves our care. If your licensed veterinarian discovers a life-threatening or serious congenital issue within this window, we will offer:
-
A replacement puppy of equal value (when available), or
-
A refund, subject to review and written verification by a licensed vet
To qualify, you must:
-
Schedule a veterinary exam within 72 hours of pickup/delivery
-
Contact us immediately with the vet’s written report and findings
-
Return the puppy (in good condition) if a refund or replacement is agreed upon
This guarantee does not cover:
-
Minor or treatable conditions (e.g., worms, diarrhea, parasites)
-
Illnesses due to neglect, improper care, or environmental exposure after pickup
-
Injuries or accidents that occur after the puppy is in your possession
4. Rehoming Assistance
If unforeseen circumstances arise after the sale and you can no longer keep your puppy, we request that you contact us first. While refunds are not offered, we may be able to assist with rehoming through our network.
